Windows says: ZIP disk has a problem...
Both printers work fine under MS-DOS so I know they work and the connections are good. Windows 95 installs the Generic/Text Only printer drivers A-OK, I've deleted and re-installed the driver several times and have gone through the print trouble shooter several times as well -- but just can't get this to work.

Prints of the quality you can get from an Epson (pigment) inkjet printer, simply won't come from any RGB printer. Debatable. Epson usually refer to their prints If you edit with a wide colour gamut work space, convert the finished image to sRGB before sending it to be printed. Or alternatively, find out if the

Now I can't get it to work correctly with Primo PDF so I an get a pdf file. Word 2003, FrameMaker, etc., all worked with Primo PDF just fine. And if you think that getting the MAC and PC printers to work nice together took too much effort, I don't if the client has an intelligent setup scheme; MacOS X at this time The only thing we've debated is NT/2k/XP's LPR capabilities; you can't get it working reliably, I've set up entire sites with the thing.

If I can't get this dad burn printer to work its bye bye
Macs OTOH, are: just run the software driver installer, plug in the peripheral, and restart. It does work first time and will continue to work (unlike my network printer which USED to work on my PC but now has stopped altogether, all by itself, (still runs from the Mac though) and I can't get it work again,

HP Printers and Vista do not play nice
The only NT 4 print driver for the HP 1600 printer doesn't work for photos, Excel sheets, and who knows what else. The photos print blurry with Jumbo tape backup won't work. I've spent hours on the phone with HP (mostly on hold) and I've paid a lot of money to my tech supp guy who can't get it working either.

If I can't get this dad burn printer to work its bye bye
So I can still operate the machine with the older Win 98 machine, but I just can't get the extra speed out of the RIP'ing process. If I can get this NT box to connect to the Linux It doesn't require the workstation to to actually be connected via an lpr printer port (I have other printers that work that away).

How do I get roaming profiles to work??
We do have a license issue that means not all programs are on all computers, but we're hoping to get that rectified. Here's my boilerplate on roaming profiles. Can't help you now with the user template, but you do not need to map a drive for My Documents or for profiles to work. You should not mix up your user data

I can buy a parallel-to-USB cable for about $13, but I don't want to waste the money if I can't get a driver for it. The USB-to-parallel adapter and driver setup would work with other printers, too. That would be after the 5L finally frustrates you enough to put it in the driveway and back the car over it.

I've lost my source code, how can I get it back? Short answer: Use a decompiler like Valkyrie <URL:http://www.grafxsoft.com/valkyrie.htm>. I know I can do this externally, but I'd prefer it internal. You can get USB/Firewire/PCI converters to Parallel, or serial. Not sure how well they work, but could be worth investigating. You can, but neither my printer or my all-in-one work with a Mac. If your peripherals are without USB, then they're probably

I intend to connect the printer directly to the Mac via Ethernet (bypassing the server) as soon as I can get to it. old printers worked great (and inexpensively) for a long time but they are getting so old now that the internal rubber parts like the rollers and feeds just can't push the paper through anymore.
